To the editor:
Kudos to Louisa County Public Schools Superintendent Doug Straley; the Louisa County High School administration; and the high school’s guidance department for finding a solution to awarding diplomas to each member of the deserving class of 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic.
We are indeed fortunate to have such a creative and forward-thinking leader at the helm of our public school system who always places the emphasis on the achievement and well-being of our students. LCPS students have endured so much in this decade, first the earthquake and now COVID-19. Thankfully, seniors didn’t miss the opportunity to join with their class, one last time, in walking across the stage to receive the diplomas for which they worked so diligently.
