Crash victim treated for serious injuries

A 79-year-old Louisa man was treated for serious injuries at a local hospital after his car was struck May 24 near the K&B Market in Trevilians.

A Ford F-250 traveling eastbound, driven by Grady White, 42, of Louisa, was turning left off of Louisa Road (Route 33) at 8:28 a.m. when the vehicle collided with a 1994 Ford Mustang, according to Virginia State Police Sgt. Keeli Hill. The Mustang was headed westbound on Louisa Road and hit White's truck on the passenger side.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

White was charged with failure to yield the right of way. The crash remains under investigation.
