Envirothon places second in state

Louisa County High School placed second overall in Virginia’s 2019 Dominion Envirothon State Competition held at the University of Mary Washington in May. 

The team competed with other teams representing 17 high schools throughout the state to earn their second-place victory. Louisa’s team placed first in oral presentation and in the 2019 current issue and special topic, second place in aquatics and third in soils and wildlife.  

The Thomas Jefferson Soil and Water Conservation District congratulated Moriah Moss Jacob Barlow, Shayla Carter, Tyler Gibson, Tavon Whalen, Buddy Alexander, Gwyneth Swan and their Coaches Kim Jancaitis-Martinak, Logan Horne and Jake Sarmiento for their outstanding achievement.
