A Mineral man was charged with shooting at a group of Mica Road residents from a vehicle.
Anthony Green, 30, was arrested after a Louisa County Sheriff’s Office deputy found him under the kitchen sink at his Cross County Road (Route 522) house on June 14, according to a criminal complaint filed in Louisa General District Court.
Green was charged with attempted malicious wounding; shooting a firearm from a vehicle; shooting in a public place; reckless handling of a gun; being a nonviolent felon possessing a gun; and pointing or brandishing a firearm.
The victims told Deputy Laramie Shreve that they were standing outside the Mica Road house when Green backed into the driveway, exited the vehicle and approached them, holding the firearm and making threatening statements. They said he shot at them from his vehicle’s passenger side.
Shreve said in his criminal complaint that he found a bullet in the yard of the Mica Road house, and a spent shell casing in the back seat of a black Nissan SUV parked at the Cross County address. The Mica Road residents had reported seeing Green in a car matching that description when the shooting occurred.
Green is being held without bond at Central Virginia Regional Jail in Orange. His next court date is Aug. 3.
