REC has received reports of members attempting to restore power on their own. DO NOT DO THIS. Electricity is extremely dangerous. Severe injury and even death are both possible. Treat ALL downed lines and RELATED equipment as if they are energized – or could be energized. The following is extremely dangerous and we URGE YOU TO NOT:
-Touch power lines or anything that could be in contact with power lines
-Attempt to use any other objects to touch power lines or related equipment
-Cut trees or move other objects in contact with power lines
