Town council goes back to virtual meeting

Tonight's Louisa Town Council meeting at 6 p.m. will be virtual, due to the recent reduction in the number of people allowed at gatherings.

The council met in October and November in person, after holding meetings that were at least partially virtual for several months. During the latter meetings, some councilors met at town hall while others called in from their homes.

Governor Ralph Northam ordered that beginning on Dec. 14, public and private gatherings are limited to 10 people to minimize the spread of coronavirus cases. The limit had been set at 25 prior to Thanksgiving, and at 250 in July.
