Two employees of lake vape shop charged with drug distribution

Two employees of Lake Anna Vapes face multiple charges of distributing controlled substances, including cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, LSD and THC oil.

Leonard Wright, 40, and Johanna Baber, 33, of Montpelier were indicted by the Louisa County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office on Sept. 14 of drug possession with intent to distribute.

Their arrests followed a months-long investigation that began in January, and after the Louisa County Sheriff's Office obtained a warrant to search the New Bridge Road shop on Aug. 10.

"The [Narcotics and Gang] Task Force was successful in making multiple undercover purchases of narcotics from the vape shop," according to a statement by sheriff's office Det. Chuck Love.

The task force is composed of investigative personnel from the Louisa County Sheriff's Office and the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Richmond Field Office.

This incident remains under investigation and anyone with any information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 540-967-1234 or anonymously to Louisa County Crime Solvers at 800-346-1466.
