Betty Walker Huckstep

Betty Walker Huckstep, of Bumpass went home to be with her Heavenly Father on March 24, 2021. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, John Huckstep and her beloved daughter, Patricia Ann Powers.

She is survived by her sons, John (Debbie), Robert (Cindy), Chris ( Evie), Dean (Verna); and her daughters, Theresa Gonyo and Melissa Beckley.

Betty’s greatest love were her children and many generations of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will remember her through the memories she created and the unconditional love she gave to each of them.

Our mother/grandma was the glue that held her children and grandchildren together. She taught each of us to love the Lord, to love each other, to forgive and to share with those less fortunate than us. She was an amazing mother and grandmother.

Our family believes that tears can heal, that memories can comfort and love lives on forever in our hearts.

A private service will be held at the Huckstep Family Cemetery in accordance with Betty’s wishes.
