Doris Ann O'Connell

Doris Ann O’Connell, 63, of Beaverdam passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Martha Jefferson Hospital Charlottesville. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and very active in church functions. Doris was also a member of Louisa Board of Elections, and volunteered with the Louisa County School System. She loved being Nana to her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her father and mother the late Bernard W. and Shirley M. Hart; her grandparents Charles L. and Mary E. Carter.

She is survived by her loving husband George Donald O’Connell; two daughters Elizabeth A. Hofer (Christopher), and Nancy M. Murrie (Patrick); two grandchildren, Jacob Hofer, Logan Murrie and expected grandson in November; three brothers Wayne Carter, Daniel Hart and Leroy Hart; her stepmother Helen Hart.

 A visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bumpass. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Michael Duffy officiating. Graveside to follow in the church cemetery.
