Maxwell Carlysle Trainum of Gordonsville peacefully departed into the hands of the Lord at 9:05 a.m. on August 14, 2019. He was born June 22, 1927 to the late Alfred and Carie Trainum. Maxwell is survived by his children: Newton Trainum and his wife, Judy of Hickory, North Carolina; Marie McCabe and her husband, Stan of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; and Michael Trainum and his wife, Patricia of Virginia Beach.
He is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Anna; Paula; Matthew and his wife, Ashley; Bobby and his wife, Laura; Garrett; Jessica and her husband, Danny; and Sarah and his seven great-grandchildren, Halley; Sidney; Chandler; Audrey; Ashton; Addison and Dylan.
Maxwell lived a full life, serving his country during WWII as a member of the U.S. Navy before transferring to the Air Force, moving his family around the United States and Hawaii in support of his career. He eventually retired to Louisa where he worked at the Vepco power plant and then in business for himself as an electrician serving the local area.
The family will receive friends and family at the Louisa Methodist Church for the memorial service. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery with the times and dates to be determined.
