Mikezeha Lloyd Cooke, affectionately known as “Mack,” departed this life on June 5, 2021 at Louisa Health and Rehab.
Mack was born June 5, 1949 in Louisa to the late Willie Lloyd and Shirley Ann Holland Cooke. Mack attended Louisa Public Schools. Mack leaves to cherish his memories six sisters: Theresa Cooke of Goochland; Dawn Cooke (Lionel) of Louisa; Annett Cooke (Robert) of Louisa; Judy Cooke (Ralph) of Louisa; Shirley Hiter of Louisa; and Jackie (Clarence) Washington of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Also, five brothers: Roy Cooke of Buckingham; Willie Cooke (Elsie) of Newport News; Michael Cooke of Charlottesville; and Gary and Curtis Cooke of Louisa. Mack was preceded in death by three brothers: Rudolph, Edward Lee and Robert Richard Cooke. Mack also leaves to cherish memories two sisters-in-law: Patricia Cooke and Dena Cooke. Also three aunts: Yvonne Athey, Marion Scott and Barbara Clark; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; devoted sister and caregiver Judy Cooke and devoted nephew Lorenzo Cooke; and special friends and neighbors Thomas, Louisa and Paul of Charlottesville.
Mack spent a lot of time watching TV, especially old Western movies. He also loved fishing, cooking, cleaning and riding the city buses. Most of all Mack loved family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Mack will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 14, 2021 in The Sun Chapel at D. D. Watson, Louisa, with Rev. Austin G. Bates officiating. Interment followed in the Standing On The Promises Of God Church cemetery. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.ddwatsonlouisa.com.
