Richard Camden Stotler Sr., 86, of Bumpass, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020 in Charlottesville. He was born January 22, 1934 in Beckley, West Virginia and was the son of the late Jack Camden Stotler and Opal Elizabeth Grubb Lawhorne.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Camden Stotler; brothers, Duane Edgar Lawhorne and Donald Wayne Lawhorne; and sisters, Helen Goff and Delores Stotler.

He was an operating engineer for Stone and Webster, a Navy veteran, a 32nd Degree Mason, a lifetime member of Mineral VFW, administrator of Virginia Moose Lodge and a lifetime University of Virginia fan.

Richard is survived by his wife, Janice Mae Stotler; daughter, Rhonda Stotler Dunkum; sons, Richard C. Stotler Jr. and Randall N. Stotler; sister, Marilyn Lawhorne Mullins; grandchildren, Herbert Camden Stotler Sr., Melody Dawn Stotler Smith and Justin Curtis Dunkum; great-grandchildren, Zachary B. Smith, Shane E. Dunkum, Kali A. Dunkum, Herbert C. Stotler Jr. and Payson E. Stotler.

Funeral services were held at noon on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Gordonsville, with interment in Spring Grove Cemetery in Mineral. The family received friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
