Ronald R. Mastin Sr.

Ronald R. Mastin Sr., 66, of Bumpass passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Ludwell Mastin; beloved mother, Sally Jeanette Mastin; sister, Evelyn Shepard; grandson, Trinton Anthony Davis; and nieces, Amanda Leann and Megan Mastin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Mastin, two brothers, James T. Mastin (Lisa), of Fredericksburg, Gary W. Mastin (Mary), of Triangle; four children, Ronald Mastin Jr., Thomas Clune III (Melissa), Krystal Anderson (Nick), Rebecca Clune-Davis (Kenny); seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; along with many nieces and nephews that he spoke of often.

Ron enjoyed playing golf and spending time outside every chance he got with his dog, Max. He had a sense of humor that will truly be missed. He loved his muscle cars and traveling to the beaches searching for the best seafood restaurants he could find. Ron always thought funerals were so sad and he requested that his be more of a celebration, good food, family and great stories. Those were his final wishes.

We will be celebrating Ronald Mastin on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 1765 Fredericks Hall Road in Bumpass at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family request any memorial contributions be made in Ron’s name to the American Kidney Foundation.
