Roy Ezra Lynch

Roy Ezra Lynch, 76, died peacefully at home on November 19, 2021. 

Roy is survived by his wife, Mary Anna Hobbs Lynch, sons Dennis, Douglas (Sylvia), Donnie (Toni), Bryan (Jill), Christopher (Melinda), and daughter Gina Thompson; grandchildren Emily (Joel), Aimsley, Nathan, Heather, Dustin (Denise), Ethyn, Brody, Aubrey, Rylan and Colin; and great-grandchildren Arianna and Adeline. Roy is also survived by his sisters Doris Lynch and Linda Lynch, and brothers George (Dot), Richard (Lydia), and Steve (Peggy) and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents George Willard Lynch and Ruth Raines Lynch, his sister Edith Pethel, and his brother Rodney. 

Roy was born in Johnson County, North Carolina on May 9, 1945, and began working for Boddie Noell while still in school. He rose through the organization, retiring as Eastern Regional Vice President. Later in retirement, he worked for H&R Block in Louisa for many years. 

Roy was devoted to his family, and his second love was golf. Before he retired, he traveled many miles to play a round with friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to either the American Diabetes Association, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
