Welcome to Fluvanna County

Eric Dahl

Welcome to Fluvanna! Fluvanna County is a rural community in the heart of Virginia, full of rolling farmland and mountain views, three scenic rivers (Rivanna, James, and Hardware) and lots of friendly people. We are an agriculture-based community with a rich history and an eye towards balanced development. We respect our rural heritage and maintain a comfortable pace of life. We value family and tradition and welcome newcomers to the mix.

Why Fluvanna? Nature and Outdoor Opportunities.

The plentiful open spaces of the Virginia Piedmont allow outdoor enthusiasts a peaceful setting where you can enjoy an assortment of leisure pursuits. Pleasant Grove Park boasts 900 acres of beautiful fields and forests, with over 20 miles of walking, biking, and horseback-riding trails. The park has multipurpose recreational fields, including soccer, baseball and softball fields, a Dog Park, and an 18-hole disc-golf course. In normal years, Pleasant Grove Park also plays host to thousands of visitors each year as guests from across the Commonwealth attend events such as Old Farm Day and the Fluvanna County Fair. The grounds are also available for private rental - please contact Parks and Recreation (434-589-2016) to schedule your event.
