The Louisa Lions’ golf team traveled to Lake Monticello on March 29 to take on the Fluvanna Flucos. The home team emerged victorious, edging out Louisa 184-185.
Zane Moore shot 38 for Louisa to earn Medalist honors. Evan Straley carded 45, and Emma Zelaski, Nate Feagans and Lee Sisk all shot 51. Perry Hopkins also played for Louisa, ending the day with a score of 52.
Killian Donnely was the low scorer for the Flucos with 40, followed by Jarred Williams with 43. Cohen Perviance and Mason Chiovaro completed Fluvanna’s team total, carding respective scores of 51 and 53.
The Lions traveled to Lee’s Hill Golf Club in Fredericksburg on March 24 for a match against regional rivals Chancellor and King George. Results were unavailable at press time. The team closes its regular season with a home match against the Albemarle Patriots on April 5, then head back to Lake Monticello on April 7 for the Jefferson District championship.
