Louisa soccer teams battle Spotsylvania, Albemarle

The Louisa Lions’ soccer teams took on the Spotsylvania High School Knights and the Albemarle Patriots, facing tough competition from both teams. The Lions played Spotsylvania on March 19, with the boys’ team hosting the Knights in The Jungle and the girls’ team playing on the road. Both teams lost by 4-1 margins. Lilly Farmer

The Louisa Lions’ soccer teams took on the Spotsylvania High School Knights and the Albemarle Patriots, facing tough competition from both teams.

The Lions played Spotsylvania on March 19, with the boys’ team hosting the Knights in The Jungle and the girls’ team playing on the road. Both teams lost by 4-1 margins.

Lilly Farmer scored the Lady Lions’ lone goal, and Ethan Labelle scored for Louisa in the boys’ game.

“The boys controlled the ball most of the game and played well,” boys’ coach Sergio Botero said. “It was one of those nights that the ball did not go in the net for us.”
