Louisa County Parks, Recreation and Tourism is accepting registrations for the fall youth sports season. 

Through its youth sporting activities, LCPRT provides an opportunity for interested youth to participate in a positive, safe, and organized playing experience. 

The department currently offers flag football, cheerleading, and volleyball for county youth. 

Lil’ Rushers Flag Football Development Program will teach boys and girls age 5 the basic skills of flag football. Instruction will teach skills including passing, catching, running and offensive/defensive plays. This six-week program will introduce football to children while allowing them the opportunity to interact with children the same age. The registration deadline to join is Aug.16 and the cost is $25

Flag Football Cheerleading is available to youth in grades K-5. This program teaches sideline cheers, camaraderie, trust, dedication and spirit. Players will be assigned to a team and have a weeknight practice and play weekend games. The registration deadline to join is Aug.16 and the cost is $41.

Youth Flag Football is open to youth boys and girls ages 6-10 years old. This fun and competitive-friendly league is designed for sportsmanship and teamwork. Players will be assigned to a team and have a weeknight practice and play weekend games. This program is available in two age division: Instructional (ages 6-7) and Pee-Wee (ages 8-10). Participants will register according to their age on Oct. 1. The registration deadline to join is Aug. 16 and the cost is $41.

Girls’ Youth Volleyball is an instructional league that teaches the fundamentals in the sport of volleyball. Players will learn the basic skills of bumping, setting, and spiking through coaching and structured league play. This program is available to girls in two age divisions: All-Star (ages 9-11) and Platinum (ages 12-15). Participants will register according to their age on Oct. 15, 2019. The registration deadline to join is Aug. 23 and the cost is $41.
