Last day of school!

GREETINGS TO OUR ENTIRE TEAMLCPS COMMUNITY!

It is hard to believe, but we have officially reached the end of the 2025-2026 school year here at Louisa County Public Schools. As I reflect on the journey we shared together this year, I am filled with an incredible sense of pride and gratitude. This school year was another exciting chapter in our Journey to Greatness — one filled with unforgettable memories, meaningful growth, and remarkable accomplishments across our entire school division.

Simply put, THANK YOU. Thank you to our students, staff, families, and community members for making this such a special school year. The success of Louisa County Public Schools is not built by one person or one group alone — it is built by an entire community that believes in our children, supports public education, and works together to help every student succeed. I truly believe we have created one of the finest educational experiences anywhere in the country, and I am always proud to say that Louisa leads the way.

One of the greatest joys of serving as your superintendent is that every day brings a new opportunity to witness something extraordinary. Whether I am visiting classrooms where students are using state-of-the-art technology, attending performances that showcase the incredible talents of our students, celebrating achievements at academic events, or cheering alongside our community under the Friday night lights in The Jungle, the energy and passion of our TeamLCPS family is impossible to miss. Our students and staff continue to inspire me every single day through their commitment to excellence, positivity, hard work, and perseverance.

As we close this latest chapter of our Journey to Greatness, I want to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation.

To our students: THANK YOU for inspiring us through your curiosity, creativity, determination, and enthusiasm for learning. You are the heart of our school division, and your future is incredibly bright.

To our parents, guardians, and community members: THANK YOU for your trust, encouragement, and unwavering support. Your partnership plays a vital role in helping us fulfill our mission of challenging each student to reach their maximum potential.

And to our incredible LCPS staff members: THANK YOU for the extraordinary work you do each and every day. Education is more than a profession — it is a calling. Your passion for serving students, supporting one another, and making a difference shines brightly throughout our entire community. I am honored and grateful to serve alongside you as part of TeamLCPS.

Now, as we enter Summer 2026, I encourage everyone to enjoy a well-deserved break. Spend time with family and friends, make lasting memories, recharge, and reflect on all we accomplished together this school year. Then, in August, we will come back together ready to continue building upon the momentum we have created.

In closing, please know how thankful I am for this community and for the collective commitment we share to making the world a better place. Together, we are molding and educating the future leaders of our nation. What a privilege that is!

If there is ever anything I can do for you, please never hesitate to reach out. It is a joy to serve as your Superintendent, and I am grateful to continue on this Journey to GREATNESS with you.

Together, we are one special team. Together, we are TeamLCPS! Your Proud Superintendent, J. DOUGLAS STRALEY II
