Summer Kickoff at the Library will be held at Louisa County Library (881 Davis Hwy, Mineral) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Stop by to celebrate the start of Summer Reading with a reptile exploration from My Three Chambered Heart, the Bookmobile and the local Sheriff’s Office. Pick up your free tote bag and enjoy a sweet treat when you sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge.
A reunion of all Louisa Eagle Scouts is being planned for May 30 at Bowood Barn, Louisa. This reunion is intended to honor Scouting in our community by celebrating people from Louisa who were Scoutmasters and those who have earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting over the past 70 years. To help make this event successful, the group is seeking assistance from individuals and local businesses through financial contributions or donations of goods and services that may be used as door prizes during the reunion. Any level of support would be greatly appreciated. A Facebook page – “Troop 3 Eagle Scout Reunion” has been set up. Join Louisa County Parks & Rec from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for Kids to Parks Day at the Betty Queen Center playground for a fun-filled day celebrating outdoor play, family time, and healthy activity. This special event encourages kids and families to get outside, explore, and enjoy all the benefits of being active together. Enjoy a variety of activities including craft stations, outdoor games, bubble play, and sports challenges, along with free fitness class demonstrations that allow kids and adults totry new ways to stay active. Shady Grove Baptist Church (3384 Oakland Church Rd, Gum Spring) will hold its 15th Annual Classic Car Show from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event will include a fish fry and yard sale.
Admission is free.
Giving Words will hold a Car Show to help provide essential transportation assistance to single mothers in the community.
The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Southern Revere Cellars (1049 E Jack Jouett Road, Louisa). With engaging activities, a chance to vote for your favorite cars, and an opportunity to learn more about our efforts to assist mothers, this car show promises to be a day of community spirit and support.

Enjoy a day filled with food, music, and animals at the Annual LCSO Project First Responder Special Needs and Autism Awareness Festival, a family-friendly event for people of all abilities. The Festival was designed to foster awareness, acceptance and inclusion for individuals with Autism and other special needs and provides an opportunity for families, caregivers and community members to connect, access resources and celebrate the unique abilities of all individuals. Listen to music, do arts and crafts, play games and find local businesses, artisans, organizations and nonprofits serving the special needs community. The festival will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Moss-Nuckols Elementary School, 2055 Courthouse Road, Louisa.
Step back in time with the Jack Jouett Day Festival. This is a family-friendly event put on by Louisa County Parks, Rec & Tourism, the Louisa County Historical Society, & Southern Revere Vineyard & Farm to bring recognition to local Revolutionary folk hero John “Jack” Jouett and celebrate the rich history of Louisa County and the VA250th.
