Lake Anna Father’s Day car show returns

The rumble of restored engines and the sight of vintage classics lining the Lake Anna waterfront once again marks one of the area’s most anticipated Father’s Day weekend traditions.
The Lake Anna Business Partnership’s (LABP) Annual Father’s Day Car Show & Contest returns Saturday, June 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pleasants Landing, bringing together car enthusiasts, local businesses and families for a day that organizers say is about more than just automobiles.
From vintage Mustangs and refurbished Cadillacs to modern show cars, custom trucks and other unique vehicles, organizers expect approximately 100 entries to fill the grounds alongside more than 50 artisan and business vendors. Set against the backdrop of Lake Anna, the event will feature food, beverages, shopping opportunities and vehicle competitions in Classic, Vintage, Modern, Truck and Fan Favorite categories.
While the polished chrome on the vehicles may draw the crowds, organizers say the event’s larger purpose is investing in the next generation.
Admission is free, with a $5 parking fee per vehicle. Proceeds benefit the LABP Scholarship Fund, which provides educational scholarships to students in Louisa, Orange and Spotsylvania counties. The organization said the scholarships are awarded to students whose goals will help improve and strengthen the Lake Anna community.
The event has become a Father’s Day weekend tradition at Lake Anna. Originally hosted by Pleasants Landing, the car show was offered to the LABP in 2025, making this the organization’s second year overseeing the event.
Last year’s show raised more than $10,000 for scholarships, and organizers hope to surpass that total this year while continuing to support local students and the small businesses that help drive the Lake Anna economy.
With the event taking place during Father’s Day weekend, organizers also see it as an opportunity for families to spend time together across generations.
“Like many girls in the world, my dad is my hero, so Father’s Day is always a little special,” Event Organizer Amber Johnson stated. “Being involved in the LABP and events like this gives me the opportunity to show the example he set to be actively engaged in helping and growing our community to others.”
In addition to serving as a fundraiser, the event highlights the strong network of businesses and community leaders that support the Lake Anna region.
Sheehy Toyota of Fredericksburg is serving as the event’s title sponsor, while Matt Custer of Matt Sells Lake Anna, REAL LUXURY, is the entertainment sponsor.
Additional sponsorship support comes from Jody Korman of Commonwealth Referrals, Rappahannock Electric Cooperative, Village Motorsports of Lake Anna, Tina Perry-Duval and Libby Sandridge of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty and LKA Deck Solutions as prize category sponsors. Cutalong and Futuro Painting & Renovations are serving as judging sponsors, while Midtown Business Solutions, iWisp and Northern Virginia Title & Escrow are sponsoring parking operations.
Organizers said that support helps maximize the amount of funding directed toward local scholarships.
Beyond the trophies and cash prizes, including $250 first-place awards in multiple categories, Johnson said the event’s greatest value lies in the connections it helps create throughout the community.
“We form friendship and bonds, and those things keep us connected,” Johnson stated. “I support my friends and their businesses, and my friends support my business. When we engage and participate in these events, we only make more friends. Come have a great time and a feeling of summer.”
