Family loses home to fire, community helps rebuilding efforts
A Louisa County family is working to rebuild after a structure fire destroyed their home on Goodwin Store Road near Shannon Hill on July 11, sending propane and oxygen tanks exploding and creating hazardous conditions for responding crews and nearby animals.
Food Not Bombs chapter distributes free food weekly
For over three years, volunteers with Louisa’s Food Not Bombs chapter have gathered every Sunday afternoon to distribute free fresh produce to anyone who needs it. Food Not Bombs is an international network of volunteer-run groups that gather surplus food and distribute it freely while advocating that resources be directed toward meeting human needs rather than military spending.

Moss as president of the National Education Association, the three-million-member union that represents educators across the country. Delegates to the NEA Representative Assembly elected Moss, a music teacher who spent her career in Louisa County classrooms and built her leadership through the ranks of the VEA.
