Cuckoo District Supervisor Chris McCotter held an event at the Louisa County Library on August 26 recognizing five 2026 “Proud to be Cuckoo” recipients. This included Ken Sadel, the operator of Lake Anna Golf Carts at Anna Point Marina, Elizabeth Goodwin, the executive director of the Louisa County Resource Council, Libby Sandridge, board member for the Lake Anna Business Partnership and Foundation for Emergency Services at Lake Anna, Dick and Meg Shrum and their respective involvement with the Lake Anna Advisory Committee and Louisa Humane Society, and Melody Bowers, the owner of the Tavern on the Rail Event Barn.

Tiger Woods’ TGR Design chosen for Lake Anna golf course

Tributer Resort, a premier golf and residential destination by Reef Capital Partners along the shores of Virginia’s Lake Anna, today announced plans for a new private, 18-hole championship golf course by Tiger Woods’ TGR Design. County secures state funds for Lake Anna safety and environmental protection initiatives

The Louisa County Board of Supervisors is pleased to announce that the Virginia General Assembly has approved critical state funding to support vital environmental and safety efforts at Lake Anna. The newly allocated state resources will directly fund invasive hydrilla control, buoy safety maintenance, and harmful algae bloom (HAB) mitigation.
