Write In Louisa Open Mic+ set for Saturday
Join Write In Louisa Saturday, Oct. 10, for its inaugural Open Mic+ at Louisa Arts Center (212 Fredericksburg Ave, Louisa) from 1 to 3 p.m. Hear from local writers and maybe share some creative work of your own. Plus, have fun with giveaways, raffles and door prizes. Refreshments will be available to purchase, with all proceeds supporting nonprofit Louisa Arts Center. The activities include critique sessions, discussions on all things literary, and assignments or prompts. For adults only. Info: xialowei@aol.com Join the Louisa Hearth & Herb Guild at the Sargeant Museum, 214 Fredericksburg Ave., Louisa, on the first Thursday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. The Guild is a group of gardening and hearth cook enthusiasts committed to herbal and horticultural education and bringing Louisa County history to life through hands-on experiences, while supporting the museum.

Lake Anna Bluegrass Festival, LCEF benefit
The 2026 Lake Anna Bluegrass Festival returns Saturday, Sept. 19, noon to 6 p.m. at Prospect Drafthouse at Coyote Hole (225 Oak Grove Drive, Mineral). This family event features live music, food vendors and childrens’ activities.Admission is free. The festival is sponsored by Visit Louisa.
