Registration open for Louisa GED classes

It is Time to Give Yourself a Raise! The Thomas Jefferson Adult Career Education (TJACE) @pvcc the Louisa Center located at 115 Jefferson Highway (Sage Building, Suite 108 and 109) is announcing that the 2026-27 GED preparation classes and Computer Skills Lab will start August 10, 2026 with registration and classes to begin August 24, 2026. Please call (540) 938-4729, for an appointment to register. Classes are Monday evenings from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Online learning is an option to fit different schedules. You must come in-person to register.

Food Not Bombs chapter distributes free food weekly

For over three years, volunteers with Louisa’s Food Not Bombs chapter have gathered every Sunday afternoon to distribute free fresh produce to anyone who needs it. Food Not Bombs is an international network of volunteer-run groups that gather surplus food and distribute it freely while advocating that resources be directed toward meeting human needs rather than military spending.
