Houchens achieves donation milestone during Kindness Month
Louisa County Public Schools (LCPS) held a blood drive on Oct. 27. Nancy Houchens, a bus driver who has been providing first aid, CPR, and AED training for other bus drivers since 1994, donated blood last week for the 50th time. “The American Red Cross will send you a text letting you know which hospital your blood went to and how many people it helped,” Houchens said. “This is my way of helping people.” LCPS hosted the blood drive as part of their Kindness Month initiative.
