It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Donald William Anthony, known to his family and friends as Donnie. Born on February 4, 1957, Donnie departed this world on May 3, 2026, at the age of 69, cradled in the comfort of his own home.

Donnie was the son of the late Katherine Rebecca Anthony (née Childress) and Everette Lee Anthony. He is survived by his wife, Dora LeAnn Anthony (née Beason), as well as his children: Jessica Dawn Bartlow (née Anthony), Jason Shawn Anthony, and Troy Bliss Anthony. He was a proud grandfather to two grandchildren, Victoria Ying Anthony and Alexander Ying Anthony. He is also survived by his brothers, Mark E.H. Anthony and Ronald Turner Anthony.

Donnie dedicated his professional life to the construction industry: he was a highly skilled foreman. His work ethic and leadership left a lasting impression on those he worked with throughout his career. Donnie found joy in writing, antique shopping, traveling, and exploring state parks and unique attractions with Dora and their faithful dog, Buddy. Donnie’s thoughtful character and playful nature touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A private viewing will be held at Woodward Funeral Home. A small Celebration of Life will be held with details to follow at a later date.

Donald William Anthony leaves behind a legacy of love and joyful memories. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace.
