Rebecca Anne Whitlock Weakley, 82, of Mineral, Virginia, died on August 5, 2026. She is survived by her sister, The Honorable Susan L. Whitlock and her husband, John J. Hammond, Sr., her devoted nieces and nephew, Amy Harris Seay (Steve), Katie Harris Miller (Jay), and Stephen C. Harris, Jr.

(Kiva), nine great nieces and nephews; two great great nieces and one great great nephew; and cousins, Judie V. Sacra of Mineral, Virginia, Donna L. Edmunds of Olney, Md., Doug Whitlock of Louisa, Virginia, John D. Whitlock and Jane W. Sisk of Richmond, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, D. Robert Weakley, her parents, Edward J. Whitlock, Jr. and Ruth V. Whitlock, her brother, Edward J. Whitlock, III, aunts and uncles, Eloise Whitlock, Avaleen Whitlock Lane, Robert A. Whitlock, W. W. Whitlock, A. Gaynelle Whitlock, and her cousin, David A. Whitlock.

The family extends special thanks to her caregivers at Dogwood Village, Orange, Virginia.

She was a lifelong member of Mineral Baptist Church. Private services will be held at Riverview Cemetery, Charlottesville, Virginia, where she will be interred with her husband.
