Bruno Salvatore Sestito, Jr.

February 10, 1950 – October 3, 2026 With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Bruno Salvatore Sestito, Jr., 76, of Louisa, Virginia, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on February 10, 1950, in Columbus, Ohio, to Bruno and Wilsie Sestito, Bruno attended The Ohio State University before moving to Louisa with his family in 1984. He began his career with Louisa County Public Schools as a mathematics teacher before establishing the school division’s technology department, which he led until his retirement. He was also one of the founders of the Louisa Area Soccer Association (LASA), helping create opportunities for generations of local youth athletes.
Bruno enjoyed playing bridge, traveling the world, reading, coffee, and, most of all, spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his intelligence, patience, sense of humor, and willingness to help anyone who needed guidance or support. He is survived by his wife, Linda Sestito; his sons, Jeremy, Dylan, and Jesse; his grandchildren, Helena, Angelo, Francesca, and Matteo; his siblings, John, Robert, Anthony, and Beata; and many extended family members, lifelong friends, former students, and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Houck. The family will receive friends at D.D. Watson Mortician, Inc., Louisa, Virginia, on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and again on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will immediately follow, Hillcrest Cemetery.
