Joseph Wood Taylor, 60, of Louisa, VA, passed away at home September 13, 2026.

Born on August 15, 1966, Joey was the beloved son of Elue Gilbert Taylor Sr. and Ida Ann Taylor, both of whom preceded him in death.

Joey is survived by his brothers, Robert Taylor; and wife Crystal Taylor, Elue Taylor Jr; son, Cory Taylor; and his wife Amber Gilley Taylor, daughters, Kristan Franck; Amber Taylor Judy; and her husband, Stephen Judy, and eleven grandchildren: Jesse Henley, Haylyn Franck, Brianna Judy, Anistan Henley, Haizel Amick, Natalie Taylor, Trenton Judy, Helynn Forloines, Peachey Forloines, Trevor Judy, and Harvey Judy. Joey had nephew’s and niece’s that he claimed as his own.

Joey had a loving heart and a free spirit. He lived life to the fullest and left his mark wherever he went. He didn’t care much about fancy titles or materialistic items. True wealth was creating memories with the people around him. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered and always loved.

A celebration of life will be held on October 10, 2026. Reservations have been made under the tent between 3:30-7:00 PM, at the Southern Revere Cellars located at 1100 E Jack Jouett Rd Louisa, Va 23093. Open to the public, live music starts at 5:30. We hope to see everyone there that knew Joey
