Join the Louisa Chapter of the NAACP and Louisa County Historical Society for a Juneteenth Celebration. Honor the history of emancipation and the central role churches have played, and continue to play, in community leadership and cultural preservation. Friday, June 19, there will be a Parade of Churches and Fish Fry at the Town of Louisa Park (108 Meadow Ave, Louisa). The parade will begin at 4:00 a.m. Church performances and a Fish Fry to follow. Saturday, June 20, enjoy the African American Heritage Festival at Moss Nuckols Elementary School (2055 Courthouse Rd, Louisa) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The festival includes a line-up of performers.

Celebrate Father’s Day weekend in style at the 2026 Lake Anna Business Partnership (LABP) Father’s Day Car Show & Contest, hosted at Pleasants Landing on Lake Anna (349 Pleasant Landing Road, Bumpass) from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Bring Dad, bring the family, and enjoy an afternoon filled with classic cars, custom builds, trucks, muscle cars, antiques, and specialty vehicles — all set against the waterfront views of Lake Anna. This annual event supports the LABP Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to local students in Spotsylvania, Orange, and Louisa Counties.

St. James Episcopal Church will move to one worship service on Sundays for the summer season. Through Sept. 6, the service will begin at 9:30 a.m. with Holy Eucharist Rite II. Town of Louisa Fourth of July Celebration & Fireworks from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. From the Main Street parade to live music, food trucks, family activities and fireworks, it’s an evening full of hometown pride and summer fun. Stroll the fairgrounds, enjoy great food, support local vendors and businesses, and celebrate the 4th of July.
Celebrate Independence Day at the Lake Anna Fourth of July Fireworks Show. Fireworks begin at dusk (approximately 9:15 PM) and are shot from Dike 2, Lake Anna, Louisa County. As dusk approaches, the lake transforms into a sea of glowing lights as boats drop anchor, families gather on docks and friends spread out blankets for the best view of the show. Whether you are on the water or watching from shore, the experience is one you will remember for years to come.
Southern Revere Cellars (1100 E Jack Jouett Road, Louisa) will hold its 4th Annual Independence Day Celebration, the Red, White & Brew, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This is a family-friendly event featuring beer and wine, delicious food, vendors, and topping the day off with a concert and fireworks show. Proceeds help support Veteran Charities.
