R. Garland Nuckols, age 71, died in his Louisa home on Friday, May 8, 2026. Anchored throughout his life by a strong Christian faith, he goes ahead of us now with the words he so loved: “I’ll meet you on the far side banks of Jordan.”

Thomas Lorenzo Buckner, a devoted and cherished friend to many, passed away on Sunday, April 26, at the age of 81. He was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his passing.

Pamela Lynn Martin passed away on December 8, 2025, which happened to be her 73rd birthday. The family is honoring her with a memorial that will take place on May 16, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 at the Betty Queen Center, 522 Industrial Drive in Louisa.

Dorothy Mae Mallory Sharpe (Dottie Mae) went to be with her Lord and Savior April 22, 2026.

Barbara Johnson Amick Champe, 94, of Louisa, VA, and formerly Ebensburg, PA, passed away on April 15, 2026, in Spring Oak - Louisa assisted living facility with her family by her side.

July 3, 1930 - April 7, 2026

Anthony “Tony” Ray Cook, 85, passed away peacefully on February 25th, 2026, at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his beloved wife by his side. Tony was born on June 16th, 1940, in Washington D.C. to Percy and Eugenie Cook. During his childhood, his family moved to Mineral, Virginia where he spent most of his early years.

Judith Turney Greene was called home to meet her heavenly father on March 16, 2026. The daughter of Raymond and Lena Knott Turney, she was born August 7, 1948 in Charles County, MD but grew up in Mineral. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Gerald, Donald, Charlie and Wayne Turney and sisters Alice and Lynn Greene.
