Judith Turney Greene was called home to meet her heavenly father on March 16, 2026. The daughter of Raymond and Lena Knott Turney, she was born August 7, 1948 in Charles County, MD but grew up in Mineral. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Gerald, Donald, Charlie and Wayne Turney and sisters Alice and Lynn Greene.

Judy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Kermit Greene and their daughter, Alison Jackson ( husband Jamie,) 2 grandchildren: Asia and Jaylen Jackson, one stepgrandson, Dominic Judy, one sister Evelyn Nelson and several nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

Judy was a member of Church of the Incarnation in Mineral where she was especially known for her work on the Altar Guild as she loved flowers and decorating the church.

By trade, Judy was a hairdresser and had her own shop for many years. After closing her shop, she was an Asst Manager at Dollar General in Louisa. Her last job was as devoted grandmother who followed her grandchildren everywhere-most recently to LCHS football games.

A memorial service will be held this Saturday, Apr 11th at Church of the Incarnation in Mineral at 1pm. Visitation will be held in the church, before the service at 11:30. A reception will immediately follow in the church.

Judy will be greatly missed by her family and friends for her creativity, her generosity, that special sense of humor, and her warm heart.
