The Louisa County Emergency Communications Association will hold Summer Field Day at Walton Park (628 Louisa Ave, Mineral) between 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. This is a day of experimentation and contesting with amateur radio and is nationally organized by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL). Experience the Louisa County Emergency Communications Association’s capabilities and take part in a simulation of a potential emergency. Snacks provided; all are invited.

Saturday, July 4 Town of Louisa Fourth of July Celebration & Fireworks from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. From the Main Street parade to live music, food trucks, family activities and fireworks, it’s an evening full of hometown pride and summer fun. Stroll the fairgrounds, enjoy great food, support local vendors and businesses, and celebrate the 4th of July.

Celebrate Independence Day at the Lake Anna Fourth of July Fireworks Show. Fireworks begin at dusk (approximately 9:15 PM) and are shot from Dike 2, Lake Anna, Louisa County. As dusk approaches, the lake transforms into a sea of glowing lights as boats drop anchor, families gather on docks and friends spread out blankets for the best view of the show. Whether you are on the water or watching from shore, the experience is one you will remember for years to come.

Southern Revere Cellars (1100 E Jack Jouett Road, Louisa) will hold its 4th Annual Independence Day Celebration, the Red, White & Brew, from 4:00 to 9:30 p.m. This is a family-friendly event featuring beer and wine, delicious food, vendors, and topping the day off with a concert and fireworks show.
